The drive is available in three capacity options: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. With sequential speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s, the NV10000 is in the mid-range segment of the PCIe 5.0 SSD market – positioned below positions it below TeamGroup’s own high-performance offerings such as the T-Force Z54E, which reaches 14,900 MB/s using Phison’s E28 controller, and the T-Force GE PRO, which achieves 14,000 MB/s with an Innogrit IG5666 controller.

Competing drives in the 10,000 MB/s range include the Crucial P510, which uses Phison’s E31T controller, and the MSI Spatium M570. These mid-tier PCIe 5.0 drives typically run cooler and consume less power than flagship models while still offering substantial performance improvements over PCIe 4.0 SSDs, which top out around 7,400 MB/s.

TeamGroup highlights that the SSD is compatible with current Intel and AMD platforms that support PCIe 5.0, making it suitable for both desktop and laptop installations (although only the most recent laptops from 2025 support PCIe 5.0).

For thermal management, the drive includes TeamGroup’s patented graphene heat dissipation label, which the company holds patents for. According to the manufacturer, this graphene-based solution helps reduce operating temperatures during sustained workloads. The NV10000 also supports TeamGroup’s S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software, which allows users to check drive health status and perform diagnostics.

TeamGroup’s Multi-Controller Strategy

The NV10000 launch reflects TeamGroup’s broader product strategy of offering multiple PCIe 5.0 drive families based on controllers from different vendors. The company displayed six different PCIe 5.0 SSD families at Computex 2025, utilizing controllers from Phison, Silicon Motion, Innogrit, and Maxio Technology. This approach allows the company to address different market segments and price points while maintaining negotiating leverage with controller manufacturers. The specific controller used in the NV10000 was not disclosed in the product announcement, however.

Availability and Pricing

TeamGroup has not yet announced specific pricing or release dates for the NV10000. Based on current market pricing for similar mid-tier PCIe 5.0 drives, 2TB models in this performance range typically retail between $140 and $200, though exact pricing will depend on regional markets.

PCIe 5.0 SSDs have become more viable for consumers in 2025 thanks to improved thermal efficiency and broader platform support compared to first-generation drives. AMD’s AM5 platform and Intel’s recent processor generations provide native PCIe 5.0 support for M.2 storage.

The practical benefits of PCIe 5.0 storage will be most evident in professional workflows involving large file transfers, video editing, and 3D rendering. For gaming and general computing, the performance difference compared to high-end PCIe 4.0 drives is less pronounced in everyday use, though newer titles with DirectStorage support should see improved asset streaming.
