Texas Memory Systems Joins Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA)

Houston, Texas—March 29, 2001—Texas Memory Systems announced today that it has joined as an Associate Member of the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA). The FCIA is committed to delivering a broad base of Fibre Channel infrastructure to support a wide array of industry applications within the mass storage and IT-based arenas. The FCIA currently includes more than 150 members.

“Every company that is serious about Fibre Channel and storage is a member of the Fibre Channel Industry Association,” said Woody Hutsell Marketing Director for Texas Memory Systems, “we are committed to participating in the industry and the initiatives that impact our customers. The FCIA has been an advocate for interoperability in the storage network industry through the plug-fests and development of the SANmark certification program. We are excited that our membership in the FCIA will allow us to participate in these programs.”

“Part of the reason we are able to retain our status as ‘The World’s Fastest Storage’ is due to the Fibre Channel interface ports that we use on our RAM-SAN solid state disk,” according to Paul Kaler, Vice President of Technology, “therefore, it is imperative for us to be behind the industry standards, interoperability tests, and organizations that support Fibre Channel.”
