Texas Memory Systems Joins as Premier Member of Hewlett
Packard's Computer Solutions Provider Program
Houston, Texas—March 26, 2001—Texas Memory Systems
announced today that it has formalized its relationship with Hewlett Packard by
joining as a Premier member of the HP Computing Solution Provider Program (CSPP).
The CSPP program is designed to provide business partners with “sophisticated
technical, marketing, and sales assistance so that companies can develop,
demonstrate, and deploy products on Hewlett Packard systems.”
“For Texas Memory Systems joining the HP CSPP was a natural extension of our
previous relationship with HP and its customers”, according to Woody Hutsell
Marketing Director for Texas Memory Systems, “a significant percentage of our
sales opportunities are with customers using Hewlett Packard servers and
operating systems.” Texas Memory Systems sells the RAM-SAN line of solid state
disks. The RAM-SAN’s connect via Fibre Channel interfaces to servers and
storage networks. These systems are compatible with the HP-UX operating system
versions that support Fibre Channel interfaces.
“One of the biggest advantages of being a Premier member of the CSPP is our
ability to test our hardware in Hewlett Packard’s labs”, said Paul Kaler VP
of Technology for Texas Memory Systems, “demonstrating interoperability
between our Fibre Channel solid state disks and the HP server operating systems
provides our customers additional confidence as they look for solutions.” The
CSPP program provides lab time for partner companies to demonstrate
interoperability on HP platforms.
Texas Memory Systems will be exhibiting at HP World Expo, August 22-24, 2001 in
About Texas Memory
Texas Memory Systems (TMS) has specialized in high bandwidth, low latency, I/O
intensive storage systems since 1978. TMS products were originally
designed to meet the needs of the U.S. defense industry, and now this advanced
technology is available for mainstream computer and storage applications.
While the primary focus of our products has been speed, we achieve this speed
without resorting to overly complex circuitry. This emphasis on simplicity
allows TMS to deliver outstanding performance with an easily understood and yet
highly configurable system. Texas Memory Systems is a member of the Fibre
Channel Industry Association (FCIA), the Storage Networking Industry Association
(SNIA), the DAFS Collaborative, and is partnered with Oracle, Sun,
Hewlett Packard, and FalconStor in order to deliver the World’s Fastest
Storage to the enterprise.
